Monique Rossignol

Monique Rossignol is a native of Salisbury, MD.

Her passion for pastry developed as a child baking in the kitchen with her mother.

Monique took Culinary Arts classes at Parkside High School CTE for 2.5 years before heading up to the Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College in Philadelphia, PA to further pursue her future in pastry.

In three years, Monique earned a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in the Pastry Arts while working for the Starr Restaurant Organization. Upon graduation, Monique continued to work for the Starr Restaurant Organization but transferred from Jones Restaurant to help open Parc, a 300+ seat French bistro.

In fall of 2009, Monique moved back to the Eastern Shore to work as a baker at
The Original Smith Island Cake Company in West Ocean City, MD. After 2 months, Monique took on the roll of Head Baker/Kitchen Manager, which she continues to do at the present.

Monique is also a member of the American Culinary Federation.
Future goals including working until master Pastry Chefs and one day opening her own pastry cafe.
